Amusing anecdotes, musings on mundane events, short stories, life through a crooked lens...you will come across all these when you take a walk along the long and winding road.
Desperately wanted to enter the "Worn" edition of the Photofriday contest. So I quickly put up this snap and named it so (was intending to name it Shelter before the thought for entering the contest came up). I found out though that the contest was already done with and the next one was up and running :(.
I like this snap a bit because of the detail the camera has manged to capture (for example check out the rust formation on the metal), and the soothing brown tones the whole image abounds with. This is quite worth seeing at its expanded size.
The following paragraph contains textually graphic material. Reader discretion is advised :)
I have always been on the lookout to snap a picture of a dragonfly (they are awfully pretty insects, and once they are stationary, sit tight posing nicely for the camera). I finally did succeed in getting this one, but was quite horrified when I saw it on the PC. Doesn't this remind one of the movie Hannibal? Remember how Dr. Lecter slices the top of one of the baddies, pickles his brains, and shares it gregariously with a Chinese kid on a plane? Could someone tell me if this is how all dragonflies look? Maybe the sphere shaped body end sits nicely in the con-caved, hollowed out head like a ball and socket connection.
